TED launches animated channel

It's got its insufferable fanboys, sure, but TED's insightful, educational and entertaining not-for-profit videos have been a force for good in this post-YouTube world for a few years now. No Lol Cats, girls with a couple of cups or getting 'pwned' here – just intrigue, wonder and some rather snazzy geek-chic.

And now the world of animation is set to benefit too, with the launch TED-Ed, which aims to 'capture and amplify the voices of great educators around the world by pairing them with talented animators to produce a new library of curiosity-igniting videos'.
