Description:
Bournemouth University’s National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) is the UK's leading centre for teaching, research and production in computer animation. Students and staff have worked on many international films and have won numerous awards. Following our latest award of the prestigious The Queen’s Anniversary Prize – the national honours system for UK education - we are now seeking to expand our commercial production and consultancy work.
We are making three appointments to work with existing NCCA staff to achieve the following: launch an international VFX Festival; liaise with VFX firms on collaborative projects; build a training, production and consultancy service; and link with the Centre for Entrepreneurship to launch new graduate businesses.

Starting salary from £22,971 - £26,629 per annum with further progression opportunities to £29,099
We are looking to recruit a highly talented and enthusiastic individual with degree-level knowledge of computer animation to set up a new commercial animation production studio within the NCCA. With experience of the production of computer animated media, your working knowledge of computer animation systems will be essential.
This post is initially available on a 2 year fixed term basis commencing in February 2012 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
