Animex- Festival of Animation & Computer Games

'Animex is one of the longest running and arguably the biggest festival of animation and computer games in the UK. Packed with talks, masterclasses, exhibitions, screenings, networking events and parties, it has been a must-go-to event for students, professionals, artists and recruiters for well over a decade.

Animex returns for its thirteenth edition in February 2012 and has doubled its capacity to boot. For the past twelve years the festival has sold out and the waiting list has grown longer each year.

Festival Director Chris Williams said, "We've seen an amazing growth in demand for tickets over the years to the point where we have provided a reduced cost ticket for a live broadcast for the last two festivals. However, we have now figured a way of providing almost twice as many seats for our audience to get to see and hear from our speakers in the flesh."

Animex will now run across two venues on the Teesside University campus.

Williams continued, "When you have an opportunity to see the likes of Eric Goldberg, Ray Harryhausen and the countless other stars of the animation and games world who've presented here, it's great to be able to respond to their talks and ask the questions you've always wanted to ask. This exciting development for the festival ensures that more people than ever will be able to meet and be inspired by the best in the business."
