Two new short films aimed at encouraging young people to follow a career in the visual effects industry were released today – Tuesday, March 6 – in collaboration with Skillset and UK Screen.
Skillset has been fighting the corner for the UK's creative industries this week, and has been charged by the UK Government and the Creative Industries Council to implement a series of initiatives that will help the sector remain a competitive force for the UK's economy.
The UK's visual effects (VFX) industry was given a boost this week when the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) recommended that key job roles that are essential to the industry's continued growth should be added or retained on the Government's shortage occupation list.
