18.5 hrs per week – 0.5 FTE Two Year Fixed-term Contract

Applications are invited from enthusiastic lecturers, or digital media practitioners, who have recently worked on, or lectured on 3D computer graphics for use in media production or media delivery.

You will play an active role in the delivery of BSc Honours Degrees in Computer Graphics Technology, Creative
Technology, and Media Technology and will continue to be professionally active within the computer graphics, media production or entertainment industries.

I am a Producer looking for visual effects students to work on an exciting Steroscopic 3D project.

The story is about an old watchmaker, who gets a visit from a little girl in his shop. Together they make a trip into the timemaker/clock.

We are looking for VFX students to help us create a particle effect when the little girl and the watchmaker disapear into the clock.

This is good experience for students who are keen to work in Stereoscopic and will also look great on a showreel.

We would prefer a VFX artist who is based in the Bournemouth/Poole area although this is not essential.

I am a Producer looking for animators to work on an exciting short Steroscopic 3D project.

This is a very last minute call for a 2d effects animator, preferably someone who uses a Wacom tablet to speed up the process. As we are at the end of production for this short animated film it is a very tight deadline to get FX done.

The film is called Night Island and is one of 12 shorts to accompany BreakThru Films stop-motion feature film 'The Flying Machine'.

RealtimeUK has an immediate requirement for 3D character animators with good traditional animation skills.

Animators must be knowledgeable of 3D Studio Max and Character Studio.

Candidates Should

• Be able to demonstrate a high quality portfolio/showreel, with examples of character work. Quadruped animation would be an advantage.
• Be motivated, self-disciplined and able to take a shot from start to finish.
• Exhibit good communication and organisational skills
• Work within a team of other animators.

Qualifications

• 3D Studio Max proficient
• Additional Maya or XSI experience preferred but not essential

Hi all!

My name is Mike and me and my colleagues are looking for a cut-out animator to help us complete our project in time for the festivals. Although to start it is unpaid, a pro-bono deal can be made.

Hello, I am currently working on an animated comedy pitch for broadcast. We have some funding, and we need a mentor. We can pay £250 per day, min 1 day, max 4.

We need someone with experience in creating a broadcast animation to basically pick their brains about all the various aspects this entails.

We are based in the North East, so if you fancy a trip North and a bit of spending money please get touch. It's a really exciting project with loads of potential and we're eager for as much advice as possible to make it a success.

Open Book are looking to put together a team of traditional 2D animators to work on a short film we’re producing for tokyoplastic. The short is destined for MTV and in a ‘Euro Manga’ style. Unfortunately we can only pay expenses but it will be valuable experience working with a high-profile directing team and full credit will be given.

The team will be based in London, so we are ideally looking for people based in London or who are prepared to travel. We’re only anticipating people being involved for a couple of weeks due to the fact that we’re only offering expenses (unless you’d like to do more) and we will be flexible with days and times to fit in with other things you may be doing.

Animate Projects is currently looking for two part-time volunteer interns: one to assist with marketing, the other to help with production and distribution.
