I am a London based freelance animator and illustrator. Traditional 2D animation, Flash animation, Celaction animator, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects animator.

I have seven years experience in the London animation industry. Mainly Flash animation, 2D animation, Celaction animation.
Five years experience prior to that as a video editor and motion graphic designer. After Effects animator.

Madame Tutli-Putli

Last night I saw the animation 'Madame Tutli-Putli', screened as a part of LIAF. I just would like to say that anyone who works with or has an interest in animation should see this. It is amazing. 'Wow', that's all I can say... Apparently it took the creators 5years of working in a dark room for 14-5hours a day without weekends. It is phenomenal. The expressive life-like body movements of puppets, the meticulously created sets and the puppets' eyes... which is just incredible. OK folks, its official, my tribute film to these two masters of Stop-frame creature animation is now moving forwards.
Throughout this forum ill be posting what equipment ill be using, how much it costs and other iteresting subjuects.
If theres anything that ive not posted and you want to know, just message me!
It may take a while but eventually ill be geting this short to festivals and events all over the UK!

animation career events / NABS

I am trying to get in contact with, preferably London based, animation companies. I would like to attend some kind of events where I can talk to people from the industry and make contacts with them. Does anyone know if/what there are any events/fairs coming up in the next few months?

Another thing. Someone I know who works in the similar industry told me about the charity called NABS. I have been trying to find their offices online but don't seem to find their website! Does anyone know URL of NABS website?

I run RadarMusicVideos.com, it's an international network of cutting edge music video directors. Record labels and bands publish briefs for music videos on Radar. Many are non-performance briefs and can be made anywhere in the world.

We're currently inviting treatments for a music video for Aviv Geffen, a huge star in Israel. The production budget is £10,000 plus an £8,000 bounty for the winner - to be spent on goods and services to further the winner's directing career. The video needs to feature Aviv but can be part/fully animated - all ideas are welcome. skillset interview followup

i recently had an interview help session with Skillset and i had been told that afterwards i would recieve an e-mail from the person i talked to giving me some info that was promised, but i have so far recieved nothing. I do realise that people are extremely busey in this industry and may have just simply forgotten but it would be nice to know what was going on either way.
