Submissions Now Open for The Great Animation Challenge 2010

The Great Animation Challenge, a yearly contest for up and coming animators run by Animation Forum West Midlands and Wolverhampton’s Flip Animation Festival, will be awarding an Apple or Adobe-accredited training course at NTI Birmingham (subject to AFWM being successful in its funding application) to the animator behind the best short.
“The Challenge produced some fantastic animation last year, with entries coming from all over the world from freelancers, students and independent studios,” says Animation Forum WM Manager David Allen.
“The chance to animate audio comedy clips from a selection of comedians from the national circuit gives young and established animators a fun source of material to get creative with.”
Audio clips from Will Hodgson, Markus Birdman, Eddy Brimson, Ian Cognito and Alex Boardman are all available for animators to download.
To enter, participants should download and animate their favourite comedy clip from the Animation Forum WM website at tinyurl.com/2w49q9g, before uploading the finished short to The Great Animation Challenge Vimeo Group (vimeo.com/groups/greatanimationchallenge) by the deadline of 31st August 2010.
The best entries will be screened in early September.
For entry requirements and further details on how to enter, please visit the Animation Forum WM website at animationforumwm.co.uk.
