The best of this year’s 3D modeling, simulation and visualisation projects were applauded at the Imagina Awards, which was held in Monaco on the 4th February.
Media and Entertainment awards were dolled out to Frenzy Paris for Lilly Allen’s Fuck You video, the Ecole Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques for Get Out, and Wizz for their commercial Scrabble “Sumo”. Lost and Found took Best Short and Best Special Effects was awarded to Where the Wild Things are. The Imagina Special Award was presented to James Cameron's Avatar.
Winners within the Industry sector included Audemars Piguet Corporate for producing a 3D film explaining the history of their brand, and CryEngine 3/ Beauty.Speed.Interaction, a German based company who design high-end features for console platforms.
The Third & The Seventh were celebrated for their pioneering use of photography in architecture, and WHY (Wally Hermès Yachts) made the best communicative video.
Aéroport International d’Abidjan: 2010-2035, Pays de Montbéliard: Simulation de la Rupture d’un Barrage and SIG 3D comme Outil de Simulation were all commended projects within the Landscape and Territory sector.
