Students’ Animation Short Wins BAFTA Scotland Award

Students from the Dundee and Abertay universities have won a prestigious Best Animation award for their nine minute animation short, The Happy Duckling.
The piece was written and directed by Gili Dolev, who described the award as ‘a wonderful honour’.
The piece has been created with a distinctive ‘pop-up’ style, and follows the whimsical adventures of an impossibly cheerful duck who learns the value of tough love. The short has now been shown almost 50 countries around the world, and has gained considerable popularity with children and adults alike.
